I recently updated itunes to version 11.1.3.8. Now itunes does not recognize my ipod touch, my laptop does though. What do i do?

Is there a way that i can downgrade itunes to a version lower than 11.1.3.8 because it was working perfectly fine back then. Now i can't download any music.

How do I back up my apps without the need of re-downloading from iTunes when I restore them?

I have an iPod Touch(2nd) and all the apps I have left on it still works cause I've never updated them.  I know you might say I should to protect... blah, blah, blah. I only use it as an MP3 player, but I sometimes use the apps that are still working.

Is there anyway for me to backup the apps with their old firmware? Forget iCloud if you were thinking that.  It's a 4.2.1 firmware iOS.  I don't want to end up with findout that the apps are the new version requiring my iPod to have the latest firmware to work.

Thanks.

Cannot sign in to my iTunes account, and therefore cannot use app store or itunes.

First I was just trying to open the app store to update my apps. When I tred opening the app store it said, "Cannot connect to itunes store." The same thing popped up when I tried to open iTunes. So I went to my settings and tried to sign out and sign in to my Apple account. When I tried to sign in again it said, "Cannot connect to iTunes store," again. I have read the following articles and tried all possible solutions to no avail:

Once again, none of these provided any solution to me after taking all suggested action. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

If I set up my iPod as a new iPod on iTunes will I lose all of the content on my iPod?

I've had my iPod touch for about a year but I have never actually synced it with iTunes (I just used the iTunes app)

and now I'm wanting to sync it with iTunes so I can put more music on it

I was wondering if I set up my iPod as a new iPod on iTunes will I lose all of the content on my iPod?

If so, is there any other way to do this?

I just want to know so that I don't set it up as a new iPod and then I lose all of my stuff

Thanks!!

What do i do when my ipod is disabled and says connect to itunes and itunes tells me that it cant connect?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

For how to restore:

iTunes: Restoring iOS software

To restore from backup see:

iOS: How to back up

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

You can redownload iTunes purchases by:

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

iTunes wont cannot read my ipod touch 5th generation??

No, you have to restore like the message says.

It cold have been caused by :

ipod touch 4th gen will sync but new songs added to itunes do not.

Hello,

My ipod touch (4th gen) will sync with itunes but new albums I have added do not. The new albums are in itunes and can be played but itunes will not

find the 'Tracks to sync' This is not the first time this has happend and in the end I had to sync my full library, itunes would not let me tick the album

to sync it in the Summery-Music section. The only option there was the 'Full Sync' and as i have over 400 albums on my ipod,it took many hours.

I use windows 7 and my PC is running well-just a few days ago my ipod would sync new music without trouble any and I have made no changes.

Any help would be much appreciated.
