iTunes Library keeps deleting itself! NOT using a Vaio....

Thanks for the info. on previous versions. I've added it into my general solution for these types of problems below...

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash

Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping.  Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.

In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.

RestorePrevious.png

Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to a recent state. There is also the possibility that Windows has created a backup copies of the iTunes Library.itl file which may found if you right-click on the current copy and select Restore Previous Versions.

See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.

When you get it all working make a backup!

Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

I've noticed more of these missing library posts of late and a common factor to most since I started asking is AVG Anti-Virus. It seems in some cases it might be at least part of the reason why the library file disappears. Try excluding the iTunes folder from any AV scanning process.

IPod photos disappeared after deleting ONE photo.. It claims they are still there.. Help?

So my IPod is pretty full with music and photos.. I started to take a photo when something popped up saying "Cannot Take Photo: There is not enough disk space to continue taking photos. Make room by deleting existing videos or photos." So I did, I deleted ONE PHOTO! It didn't just delete one... They are ALL GONE! But the weird thing is when I go to take a photo again it says there isn't enough space like before and in the bottom left corner you can see the last photo I had taken yet when I click on it it says there are no photos? What is happening??!! I have not saved resent photos onto my laptop in a while so I have no idea how to get them back. HELP

My iPod touch 4th gen keeps deleting my entire music library?

This has happened about five times now... Every couple of weeks I'd turn to my iPod and find that all the songs have been erased. I'd then try to sync them all back but every time I end up having to restore the iPod and start from scratch. Has anyone had this problem? I've only had it for about two years, I don't know what to do about it... It's getting quite annoying.

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

I want to know about deleting emails from my iPod Touch

In particular, I have a PC, Windows 7, and I have a Hotmail email account.  I have a 4th gen iTouch and iOS6.

I want to know a) can I delete many or all my emails in my MAIL app on my iTouch, without deleting them one at a time?

I want to know b) what happens to my emails on the Hotmail server when I delete an email from my iTouch.

Can I find an answwer to these question in an Apple manual?

Problem with deleting images on IPod

Hello,

I uploaded some images from laptop to IPod, and now I can't delete them anymore.

How do I get them removed from the IPod?

the images are in stored in Photo's, together with images taken with the IPod's camera, which can be deleted.
