My iPod won't turn on. It fell out of my pocket and it the floor. I got it to turn off. When I connect it to the charger, a battery doesn't show up. What can I do to turn it back on?

Are any iTouch 5 users experiencing frequest "USB Power surge" on their computer?
So I've had my iTouch 5 since Christmas, but recently I've gotten a rather frightening error on my Windows 7 laptop. Usually in the morning I plug my iTouch in to charge without turning on my laptop. It charges just fine and I'm able to avoid the hassle of quickly turning on my laptop to charge it or whipping out my wall plug. But on Friday the 15th I received an error in the little tray of my laptop; "USB power surge on hub port" I thought it was nothing, but when I clicked the window and read it through, it said that clicking "cancel" would CLOSE the USB port permanently! I thought "No way this could be an iPod glitch," so I tried plugging in other things into the USB ports. My flash drives worked fine, my Wacom Bamboo Tablet worked just fine, but even as we speak my iTouch is sitting next to me peacefully plugged into one of my laptop's 3 USB ports. I go to play an app on it and now it just gave me the error again. But I exited the app and now it's connecting and unconnecting? Please tell me it's just a faulty cable or something like that. And please, tell me someone else is having this issue too. Has anyone fixed it or found the issue?

pressing the sleep/ wake button does not show power off slide button how to restore?
My daughters ipod touch is disabled for over 22 million minutes and won't power off and restore manually. the sleep/wake button allows the ipod to enter sleep mode but will not bringup power off slide button the home button will wake also. What is a possible remedy to this situation?

iPod Touch 4th Gen responds to power source, but does not charge
My iPod touch 4th gen 8GB turns on when I connect it to a power source, but refuses to charge. A couple of days ago, I was charging with, (yes, I admit it) a cheap AC - USB adapter. It felt hot for a while after that. I also know that I can get it replaced for AUS$89 with the Out of Warranty Service. I was hoping if there there was anyway to fix it?
PS: I tried putting it in the fridge, maybe slightly more power

Where's the Power Search in iTunes 11?
I just want to insert my 2 cents about the various comments lamenting the absence of Jobs.
Jobs was certainly a very talented and unique guy that clearly had golden instincts for marketing and product design. Nevertheless, Apple is still populated with a lot of exceptionally talented people and I think it would be naive to think Apple does anything, no matter how seemingly trivial, without having specific, calculated, self serving, reasons. I certainly do not know what their logic was but I am sure the lack of a simple refresh function, the deletion of power search, the removal of the API that rendered ITLU inoperable, the changes associated with the user interface, etc. all were with focused specific purposes. I strongly suspect that the overall purpose is, in one way or another, to severly limit the ability of users to readily transfer and/or manage their own music files and, by doing so, satisfy the paranoid needs of the music publishers relative to piracy etc. concerns.
I do not think anything would be different in this regard if Jobs still had his hands on the reins of Apple. Although I recognize and respect Apples need to protect the music and maintain reasonable contracts with the music publishers, these restrictions and limitations are seriously negating the value of their otherwise outstanding hardware. As a consumer, I want to be done with Apple because it is just too difficult to manage my music as I want to manage and store it. My wife and I just want to be able to reasonably easily use the music we perceive we own (we already paid for it via iTunes or CD purcahses).
Between our existing iPhones and iPods we will be stuck with Apple for sometime to come but my wife and I are certainly going to look hard at other hardware for all future purchases. For example, an iPhone 5 would require new cables, drop in charging stations, etc. so there really is no compelling reason to stay with the iPhone when we upgrade our current 4s devices. In fact, since the Andoid based devices use Apps that are not as tightly controlled as the Apps from Apple, there is probably a good reason, aside from anything else, to finally divorce ourselves from Apple.

Ipod Touch 4 Gen no Power after screen replacement
Alright, after changing the broken screen on my ipod touch 4 gen, i can't power on the device. This is not the first time i change
screen's on ipod's before. The power ribbon cable is ok and nothing has been damage internaly. The screen does work because
when i plug my ipod into the wall or computer, i get the charging battery screen. But even after leaving it 20 min on charge, ipod
still doesn't power on. Seems like the battery is not keeping it's charge anymore. But how would that even be possible after
changing a screen ? .... I also tried a hard reset when plugued in to my computer, iTunes detects the ipod in recovery mode, but the recovery
mode times out and gives out an arror, doesn't want to complete.
I really don't know what to try anymore, Even tried the old screen back and same problem. Do i need to repalce the battery ? ...
Please help
