Help! Instead of clicking on 'Restore the Backup', I clicked on 'Set up As a New iPod'

I used to have an iPod touch so i have a backup of that device on my computer. However, I lost the old one and now i have a new iPod touch. When i went to add the apps to the new one, instead of clicking on 'Restore the Backup', I clicked on 'Set up As a New iPod'. Now iTunes doesn't recognise the iPod and i cannot put apps, music or anything onto it! How can i go back? please help!  Thank you

how do I rename my ipod in itunes? - Can i change it in my computer - PC- instead?

I connected my ipod nano for the first time to my computer but it is not the normal computer I use and is not set to my name - so my ipod is not set to my name - How do I rename it? I looked on the website here and it said to look in left column of itunes and find the ipad under devices and right click and rename - I just updated itunes and I do not see this - how do I do this?

Also - I have a PC computer - could I just rename it in my computer or would that screw it up?

Thanks

How do you sync Ipod Touch with Itunes for files to be on the ipod instead of only availavble through icloud?

My files are only available when I can access icloud.  I can see where I can click on a song and download it from the cloud , however there are way too many songs.  How can I just sync all files directly to the Ipod Touch?
