Broken Dock Connector

I recently took my ipod touch in to my local apple store and they told me that my dock connector is broken.  The device doesn't even stay charged enough for me to slide/unlock it, it immediately dies. Is there any way I can get my ipod at a full charge without having to buy a new one?!  Thanks for the help.

Broken connector pin on my ipod

Hi everyone,

i was trying to charge my ipod (4th generation, 64GB) yesterday but it didn't work. I've noticed that one pin is folded/broken on the bottom: the charger doesn't fit.

I bought the ipod on amazon from Apple...

Is it going to be expensive if i want to fix it? Should i just buy a new one?

And also...can i give it to an apple store and get a refurbished one for a "cheap" price even if i don't have a warranty?

Thank you,

Ludovica

Ipod Touch 4g dock connector pins bent

Hello, my daughter's Ipod Touch 4g will no longer charge and taking a close look at it, a few of the pins in the dock connector are bent. Does Apple repair these? Because I am having a hard time finding a repair place in town

Dock connector bent pins

Does anyone know where to get an ipod touch 3rd gen repaired? My dock connector has some bent pins and now it won't charge or connect to a computer.

Thanks,

Caleb

Connector Problem

I just got a replacement iPod 3 days ago and i notice that it is a lot harder to connect or disconnect my dock connector to my iPod touch 4th Generation. When I take my iPod off, I have to acually put strength into it. Also when I try to take it out my just remove my case and not the dock connector. I have an Apple appointment but I don't know if it is worth it. Should I go? Also the case does not bother or block the charger. What should I do?
