Why does wifi in iPod touch 4th gen always turn off when its display screen is locked?

My iPod touch 4th gen has wifi turned off when its screen turning off. When I sent messages to my Facebook, the messages sometimes appear on my iTouch, sometimes not (If someone send me messages, it is possible for me not to get the messages). I would like to know what is happening to my iTouch. How can I fix it?

Not Charge

- See:

iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting

- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.

- Try another charging source

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Itunes doesnt display full titles

since itunes decided to mess up everything with itunes 11 without fixing anything, id like to find a solution to a constant problem.

In "Artist" view, if I select an artist the view is organised into albums and then songs but you cant see the full titles of the songs...

In windows explorer you can just drag the view bar across to view the whole titles, instead itunes would rather fill that space with a blank space.

Instinctively I would hover my mouse over this region but that just makes the title shorter by having a "star rating" feature that I also dont use and wish i could get rid of...

so how can i view the full titles of songs without going into the songs properties and is it possible to remove star ratings from view altogether?

EDIT: one other question... can i just have a single column list of songs rather then the multi column view under albums as default?

Ipod touch 5g screen will not display anything?

There is power to the Ipod. It is new(only 3 months old).

I have tried restoring/recovering the Ipod(success), but the problem still exists that the screen will not display anything. It just remains black.

The screen went black when I was in a skype group call, and now it will not respond to anything. Is there anyway I can fix this/send it in for repairs to Apple.

I am mostly certain this is a hardware problem.

My iPod Touch doesn't display all my artists?

My iPod touch doesn't display over half of my artists and it also gives some album names in the artists lists and even blank artists. Everything is correct on my iTunes and I have tried a factory reset and syncing again. If i search for songs it brings up all my songs, so the issue is just the artist list and I hadn't changed anything much since the last sync when it was working. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Emma

Display read messages in Inbox

I'd like access to all my messages in my Inbox, whether I have already viewed them or not.  Right now, it only shows those I have not read (most email programs indicate this showing the message in bold, whereas messages that are read are not bold but still displayed and accessible).  If I were to move every message that I read into a sub folder, I suppose I would be able to find them all, but I'm not that organized nor do I want to take the time for that extra step.  I'd rather just see all of my read messages that I haven't deleted.

I'm not sure if it's a POP3 account......how do I determine that?  It's a Hotmail account that I've used for years, and linking it to my new iPod Touch was my first experience with an Apple product.

Either this is a majorly inconvenient result of Apple's "simple and elegant" approach, or I'm missing a really simple step!  Thanks for your help.
