HOW CAN I FIX MY IPOD TOUCH 4'S CHARGING PART ? THE PART THAT WE CONNECT THE USB CABLE ON THE IPOD, IS NOT WORKING AT ALL...

All of sudden, my ipod touch 4th generation stopped charging.

I thought my usb cable and the charger would have some problems so I was trying others but it wasn't their problem.

It was the ipod's charging part problem. The part that we connect USB cable on Ipod!!

I have no idea even it can be fixed or not.

I really hope you guys can help me................

I have to fix it as soon as possible so I can contact my family and friends who are in Korea.

Thank you !!!

wil only charge with the cable supplied

Something is amiss with either the dock connector on your iPod or less likely the dock connector end of the cable, Some slight abnormalities can cause your type of problem.

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod and cables(s) for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

- Make an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store.

My iTouch 5th generation is not restoring and is stuck showing the USB cable and iTunes icon

My iTouch 5th generation continues to show the USB cable pointing to the iTunes icon on my screen. I can’t seem to get rid of it. Also, my iTouch is not restoring correctly. I have pressed the “restore iPod” button and so far it does nothing, but restarts the process over again once it finishes. During the process of restoring my iTouch I keep getting “iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes.” What does this mean and is this popup interrupting the process of restoring my iTouch? When this does popup my iTouch turns black and then goes back to the USB cable pointing to the iTunes icon screen. I have also tried to restart my iTouch by pressing the on/off button and the home button until the apple icon appears. I don’t know if this is relevant, but the screen with the red slider to turn the iTouch off does not appear. I have restarted my computer and I have also shut it off for about 10 minutes to see if I could get some results. It does not work. I’ve considered uninstalling iTunes and then reinstalling it again, but my MacBook Pro OS X 10.8.2 says that this cannot be done, because it is part of the system. I know that other people have been having trouble with their ipods  not showing up on iTunes, but I do not have this problem. One more thing, I have recently updated iTunes to iTunes 11. Any suggestions?
