You probably damaged the iPod, but try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If that doesn't help, then you'll need to take or send your iPod to Apple and pay their out-of-warranty replacement price.

Hi,
I am trying to connect an iPod touch 3rd (ios 5.1.1) generation to control my KEYNOTE's presentations in my iPad2 (ios 6.1.3). I activated bluetooth in both but they do not see each other. Is there any specific procedure to allow the connection or it is a problem of compatibility between versions of ios?
I appreciate any input.

However, I suspect it is permenently damaged If it works no it will likely fail a some time because the seawater causes corrosion.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

When its low on space it could cause this. Delete any un-necessary files by taping Settings>General>Usage.
If that doesn't work, you can try restoring it.
Another reason for the lag is because you are running IOS 6 (iPod Touch 4 was meant for IOS 4)
I have a new battery in my iPod touch. The manual says to let it discharge the first few times all the way, so as to properly condition the battery.
But what does "all the way" mean in this context? Do I start a recharge when the 20% warning shows up? Or use it til there is really no charge left at all? Or something in between?
Thank you for your help.

My sister and I received the iPod touch fifth generation on Christmas of 2012. Hers is the black model and mine is the yellow one. She charges her ipod at night and takes it to school in the morning. I do the same. I felt like my battery was lasting a fair amount of time until I saw my sisters. I unplug my ipod in the morning at 6:00 am. It sits in my pocket all day at school turned on with wifi and Bluetooth turned off. I don't use it at all now and around 3:00pm my battery is a little less than half way full. My sister has the same routine but when she gets home around the same time her battery is still almost completely full. I looked at it and she even had Bluetooth on all day. My friend at school also has the fifth generation ipod, he plays games and listens to music. I checked his ipod and his was around full battery, mine not being used, less than half. What should I do? I've tried all the different tips I can find to save battery life and none of them seem to work.
Okay so i got a new iPod touch five not too long ago so I was wondering should I keep my iPod touch five charged all the time or let it drain the battery every now and then or always I did It with my iPad 2 battery I was wondering if I should do the same with my iPod touch five thank you guys
i have forgot my ipod passcode how should i remove the passcode from it
This iPod Touch, 3rd generation, has been plugged to both the computer, and to the wall socket, but it will not turn on even when the reset buttons are pressed. What should I do?

What should I do to track the ipod touch?
My iPod has been disabled for months. I have talked to Apple Support and have done what they told me to restore it. This has been unsuccessful, I plan on calling them again, but I figured I would try on here too.
I have an 8GB iPod Touch 4th Generation, but it's always running out of room and I haven't updated to iOS 6 because of that. Should I make the upgrade and buy an iPod Touch 5th generation? I know the camera's better, but should I?
