All of the music from my iPod is missing but when I go to my iPod on iTunes, it says it's there. Also when I try to add more music, it won't let me sync it so I can't add my music back on it. Help!!!

iPod not shown in iTunes
Hi guys,
I've tried numerous ways to restore my iPod, but it doesn't even show up in iTunes.
The Device manager (on Win7) shows an iPod in restore mode, but I can't get it to show up in iTunes, so I can actually restore.
I was updating to 6.1.2 when it all crashed, and now I can't get it to even restore it.
It only shows the connect USB image, but it's not recognized on my computer.
There were also suggestions to update drivers, restart Apple Mobile application etc, but nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions, please?

My Ipod Touch 5th is not shown as a device
When I plug in my Ipod Touch 5th, it will open iTunes and MediaEspresso, but it is not shown as a device or a removable media.
What is the problem?
