iPod Touch is Disabled and no access to the Computer it was Backup on.
the passcode was entered to many time and now it said i have too connect itune to fix. have not go the origanal computer it was backup on with itunes. and i want to connect my ipod with my new computer. How do i do it please help me someone ?

is it possible to remove the encryption off the backup of an ipod
Restore, if iTunes will let you. Everything except the password will be restored. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. Be forewarned that it takes a long time. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Help! Instead of clicking on 'Restore the Backup', I clicked on 'Set up As a New iPod'
I used to have an iPod touch so i have a backup of that device on my computer. However, I lost the old one and now i have a new iPod touch. When i went to add the apps to the new one, instead of clicking on 'Restore the Backup', I clicked on 'Set up As a New iPod'. Now iTunes doesn't recognise the iPod and i cannot put apps, music or anything onto it! How can i go back? please help! Thank you
I never made a password to restore iPod backup? HELP PLEASE!!!!!
A few months ago I dropped my iPod touch and the screen cracked. I knew I would have to send it off to be repaired so to ensure that I wouldn't lose anything I had on it such as music/apps/photos etc. I backed it up on my itunes. Today I got a brand new iPod to replace my old broken one. I went to restore the backup onto the new iPod but when I clicked on 'Restore Backup...' it said 'Enter the password to unlock your iPod backup.' But I never made a password when i backed up my iPod. I tried my Apple ID password, various passcodes that I've used for my iPod and the numbers 0000, 1111 and 9999 that were recommended when I researched online and none of them were valid. I have no clue what the password is as I never made one for the backup. I now have no way of restoring everything from my old iPod to my new iPod. If anyone could tell me how to figure out what the password is or if there is a password that works it would be very helpful!

how to access the backup of ipod touch
I recently updated the software on my 2G iPod touch. I performed a backup but none of the music will restore no matter how many times I attempt to restore it. Can anyone help?

had to run a backup and restore and now nothing will sync
Ipod was haveing trouble connecting to anything. I tried toggeling aiplane mode and forgetting the connections and reestablishing them. no problem there. but whenever i went to do anything it would not get any signal even though evrything showed full. I couldent launch apps nothing.
I finely plugged it in and attempted to run a restore from ituned. It went through and my saved pics are still there and like 5 apps and thats it. I try to sync the restore point it finishes in a few seconds. I try and redownload the apps the bar takes forever to fill up just one app at a time and as soon as i go and switch the page the icon is gone. I tried manualy syncing music and automatically. nothing. sync finishes in a few seconds and still nothing is on the ipod.
Iv checked for software updates and that the same account is on itunes as is on the ipod touch. not sure what to do next but be the proud owner of a very expensive flashlight.

How can I backup the songs I downloaded from CDs or from online?
I Okay so I have a 4th gen itouch and it's having problems so appla said take it to a retailer but make sure you back up all your stuff songs apps contacts and stuff, and being the guy I am I download tons of music so out of my 4000 songs I only bought 500 which are the only ones that I can transfer to iTunes. With the older ones you could go though the "back door" by going to my computer, devices, iPod, iPod files , and then just copy them to iTunes but the new ones made that impossible. So do you know or can you find any third party software to save all my music and then transfer it to my iPod after it gets fixed/ restored?

I forgot my backup password what do I do?
I have had the same exact problem, I have never set up a password for a back up and I remember all my passwords and yet now that I went to restore my phone it is asking me for password!
To unlock iPhone backup file password, I searched online for solutions. Finally, when I Google search "iPhone backup password not working", I got a tool called "iPhone Backup Unlocker". It helped me remove the unknown backup password quickly!
