My son's iPod 4 (IOS 5.1.1) charged overnight and when he woke up the screen displayed "iPod is disabled try again in 22,694,182 minutes". Since this is around 43 years, he's a bit upset. Any advice?

when i first got my ipod i could turn it on by pressing the home button, now it was 2 years old last christmas and it takes me 4 or 5 trys to turn it on.

How to update iPod touch 4 Gen to current IOS? It is 3 years old and won't update past IOS 4.2.1.

I had to restore my iPod when I bought a new computer and it won't update the IOS. iTunes tells me it is up-to-date, but all the apps say I need IOS 5. How can I update this? Thanks
