"other" space goes up to 4GB after syncing apps

I know this questions comes up alot and i am aware of the usual clearing of browser history, cache, etc...  but this problem is different.  i just got an itouch 5 and everytime i restore from back up, after i sync my apps, the space jumps up to 4.5GB.  After the initial restore, "other" space only takes up about 1.2GB.  After i sync apps, it shoots up to over 4GB.  i tried both icloud and itunes restore, and both do the same thing.  Also, the icloud and itunes backups were made at different time periods.  No matter which back up i use, itunes or icloud, the results are the same.  other space starts off small, then the apps start syncing and it shoots up.  i dont know which app is the culperate, and none of the apps or app data in the "Useage" setting indicate any of them are taking up 4GB of space.  My iphone, which is my primary device doesnt even take up that much "other" space.  I am at a loss because that is alot of space to loose, i would prefer to have it if i could.

iPod touch is no longer syncing

I was syncing my iPod touch, as I was doing that I deleted an app that is not on the iPod from iTunes, when I deleted it I deleted it to the recycling bin, then it told me that an itunes temp file (didn't pay much attention to it because I didn't know anything was going to happen) couldn't be deleted and asked if I wanted to try again, I canceled. I checked the recycling bin and the app I deleted wasn't there, I checked the app folder on windows explorer and couldn't find it there either, not that I cared, but I found it weird. I thought everything was fine so I shut down iTunes. I came back later and opened it to find that everything was deleted off of iTunes, I checked the iTunes folder in explorer and found that no files were actually deleted, I'm guessing that the library file got deleted. I backup my entire iTunes library at the beginning of every month and put it on an external hard drive, I deleted the iTunes folder on the computer and copied the last backup. I've done this before when I buy new computers and have never had a problem, but this time, iTunes won't sync files from my iPod. I have three updated files and two new apps on my iPod but iTunes won't add them. iTunes will add files to the iPod but not vice versa. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Ipod Touch 2nd Gen. Not Syncing With Itunes or Windows.

I have an Ipod Touch - 2nd Generation 16GB iPod. It has IOS 4.2.1 installed on it.

My Ipod Touch is still functioning but will not let me connect it with my computer so the ipod is not shown or iTunes or Windows. It was last working on the 19th of January using Itunes 10. I then updated to iTunes 11 and have only attempted to reconnect my ipod today (29/01/13) to no avail.

I have attempted to connect my ipod touch with 3 different cables, none of which have worked despite all of these working when I attempted to charge the iPod using an external charger. The Ipod has worked as normally, allowing me to utilize all the available features. I have attempted to resolve this problem myself and have attempted the use of differ cables, as described above. I have also tried to restore the Ipod and have turned the device on and off, numerous times. Furthermore, I have also turned off the Apple Mobile Device and have turned it back on but it has not rectified the problem.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Help with syncing iPod Touch 5g

I just got a iPod Touch 5th generation. I still use my 4th generation as well. Is there a way that I can add my new iPod to my account and sync my music?

When I first plugged the iPod in I did get the option to set up as a new iPod or back up from the other iPod. I chose set up as new since I still want to use the older one for work. I leave one at work and keep one at home/with me when out and about. Now I cannot get my PC to even acknowledge the new iPod. How can I correct this?

Trouble syncing music to iPod 4g iOS 6

I just update from iOS 5 to iOS 6.0.1. The update was uneventful, but when I tried to sync all of my music to my newly updated ipod, nothing happened. The status box at the top of the iTunes window showed that my iPod was syncing, but it said nothing about syncing music, and no music was transfered. Also, the storage display bar at the bottom of the iDevice window in iTunes showed that I had 0 GB of music on my iPod. I tried doodling around with some settings, and when i checked "Automatically fill free space with songs" the storage display bar suddenly showed all of my 22 GB of music. However, I do not want to sync the entirety of my iTunes library, and would like to go back to being able to manually select which songs I can sync. Please help.
