Need some help cant get back onto my ipod to add music, ive tried removing the device but it didnt work. before that i took it off the cord then i plugged it back in and it still didnt work
Okay so I recently bought an Ipod Touch 5TH Generation 32GB, I updated it to the new 6.1 software, everything on it is fast except loading youtube vidoes, I compared it to my Ipod Touch 4TH Generation and everything is faster on the new Ipod Touch 5TH Generation except playing Youtube Videos, my old Ipod Touch 4TH Gen uses the 6.0.1 Software and loads the videos quickly and doesn't stop to buffer, my Ipod Touch 5TH Generation with the 6.1 Software stops to buffer every second and doesn't load the video, I am using safari to watch videos on both of my Ipods and the 4TH Gen loads the video quickly and doesn't stop of buffer while my 5TH Generation stops every second and doesn't buffer the video, I checked the settings between both of my Ipods and set them on the same settings and the 5TH Generation just will not load Youtube videos quickly yet my 4TH Generation does, is my 5TH Generation falty or somehow broken? Is it something to do with the software? Please help if you have a solution, I have tried resetting my 5TH Generation and everything I can think of, Youtube Videos load too slowly!!
My iPod touch is about six months old and I use it pretty regularly. It's always had problems with the home button being unresponsive, but lately it's been loading video and Internet very slowly and sometimes the touch screen is also unresponsive. I've tried restoring it on iTunes but my iPod is still acting the same. What can I do to make it run better and how can I fix the home button (I've also tried force closing an app that came with the iPod because I hear that can help with the home button but that also did not work!)
Thanks!
No. If you put new songs inside the iTunes Media folder and rescan for media it will ignore the files that are already part of the library, but if you scan other folders and iTunes is set up to create copies in the media folder then may create duplicates. Immediately after import you can select the Songs list, use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicates, sort the resulting list on Date Added and delete the recent duplicate imports.
I've also written a script called DeDuper for automating duplicate removal. See this thread for background and take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping..

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
You will very very likely lose the contents on the iPod. That is the way it is .
