My ipod won't update or even turn on. When i connect it to my computer, iTunes says that it's in "recovery mode" and telling me to restore it. But i'm afraid that if i restore, then all my music, apps, and movies will be lost. Will that happen?

I posted this before and one of the hosts deleted it. You said that you or nobody you know has ever had this problem? You are obviously a liar or you don't know anybody and live in an Apple bubble. You probably work for them. Apple has always had issues with their updates, look online and you will find millions I'm sure. I have updated in ipod once without it deleting my music. I don't buy music from itunes. I refuse to. I love my ipod but that is as far as my relationship with Apple will ever go. Don't disable my post again, I want to see how many people will agree with me about the updating issue.
It says gets to about 300-400 songs, freezes and says an unknown error occurred (-69). My iPod only has 30 songs on it now. I've formatted it, I've restored it, I've reinstalled iTunes and deleted all associated program files, but it still won't sync. I've had this problem for quite a while now, and I've done the same thing many times already. Can any one help me?
(I have an iPod Classic 6th Gen 120gb)
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Does iTunes back up everything including photos, contacts, messages and music etc? I have an iPod touch (4th gen).
I wanted to reset my iPod to start from fresh, so I went into the settings, under general, and reset.. and I'm guessing I clicked the wrong thing.. because now my iPod is stuck on the Apple logo, and my computer doesn't recognize it when I plug it in. I'm assuming I deleted the iOS files and such. Can someone help me please? I don't know what to do.
I'm trying to sync up my ipod touch to itunes to transfer all the music/photos ect. ect. over to my new (current) computer. My other computer was stolen unfortunately and everything was stored on that computer with itunes. When I hit "sync music" it says, and I quote, "Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing songs and playlists on the iPod 'iPod touch' will be replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library." I have nothing in my library though so I hit cancel, but have no way to get my music to itunes now :/ any help would be greatly appreciated
