ipod issues

I have a 4th gen. IPod touch and I can't turn it on.  When I plug in the charging cord all I get is the apple logo.  The logo has stayed on the screen for at least ten minutes.  I have not dropped it or spilled anything on it.  It also did not have a dead battery. Somebody please help and let me know if I should pay somebody to fix it for me or if I can fix it myself.

Out of package home button issues.

This past Christmas I received an iPod touch 4th generation white model. When I took it out of the packaging I noticed that the home button was slightly depressed. At first I thought it was the way the iPod came, but after using my friends own ipod I noticed his home button was at regular level. This would not be a problem, except it sometimes makes the home button unresponsive. My question is: would the warranty cover this issue, and if so should I call apple support, or should I take it to an apple store?

iPod software issues

I recently had to restore my iPod touch 2G 8Gb as something went wrong, and all of my apps were deleted. I can download these apps to my laptop but cannot install them as the iPod is only running iOS 4.2.1, and they want 4.3. These apps worked fine before, and now they can't be reinstalled, so the only app that I can have on my iPod now is doodle jump. Is there anything I can do other than buy a newer iPod (which I object to doing, as the old one works perfectly fine)? I think this is greatly unfair that apple have just prevented me from being able to use apps which I paid for and was using before.

32gb iPod touch and iMatch library issues

I have a 32gb iPod touch with it's own music library installed on it through iTunes. I recently setup iMatch using my laptop and iTunes, iMatch will hold up to 25000 songs that you can access using  the iTunes account. It's all fine when using my desktop or laptop to use iTunes and play the library i put up on iMatch and it plays through my Apple TV in my home entertainment center.

The problem is that when I went to use my iPod to think I could access the iMatch library when in range of my home wi-fi I got a message that iMatch will replace the library on my iPod. What's the point if I do that and then take my iPod outside and not accessible to wi-fi and I won't have access to my music. Unless I can use two libraries, the one on my iPod and iMatch library when i am in wi-fi range then I see no point in allowing the library on my iPod to be wiped out by the iMatch.  Is there a way to do this?  or am I only able to use iMatch using my other devices.  Also, the iMatch capacity of 25000 songs will far exceed the capacity of the iPod so that will also not work.  Any help will be great.

Restore issues

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.

If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:

Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.Restore and wait for the error. When prompted, click OK.Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected. The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.Try to restore again.

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

##

Follow the steps listed above for Error 1604. This error may also be resolved by disabling, deactivating, or uninstalling third-party security, antivirus, and firewall software. See steps in this article for details on troubleshooting security software.
