My Facebook app always shuts down randomly and I have tried re starting iPod and re downloading the app

I have had my iPod touch for 4 months and I am experiencing problems with my Facebook app. And a few others as well. Whenever I try to look at pictures on Facebook, the app shuts down without me pressing the home button. I have tried turning my iPod off and them on again, re downloading the app a few times and shutting my wi fi connection off. These methods work for a short amount of time and then the app starts shutting down again. I really need apple to release a new update for iPods to fix the bug my iPod might have. What do you recommend I do to fix this?

facebook app does not support ios 4.2.1!

You have a 2G iPod. Those can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

Otherwise you either have to use the FB website or get a newer model iPod

Why won't my iPod touch 4t generation let me watch any videos( itv player, 4od, YouTube, Facebook )

Previously it all worked, even after my iOS update, however recently these program's have stopped me playing videos YouTube saying playback error and itv saying connection error and 4od just freezes at the first advert straight away, I have tried refreshing it,restarting it and shutting it down as well as closing every app and deleting apps then re installing them but nothing works!! How am I supposed to get the facebook app?

So I have a 2nd Gen iPod touch, and I had to restore it because it crashed and said to plug it into itunes. When I went to download all the apps I had previously on my ipod, Facebook said I needed iOS 4.3. Is there anyway I can update my ipod any farther to get iOS 4.3? Or am I just screwed?
