If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

reset my ipod touch and now won't connect to itunes

I reset my ipod touch because I wanted to give it to a family member.

After I reset it, I got the icon to connect the device to itunes.

I connect it to itunes and it is not recognizing the device, it states "iTunes could not connect to this iPod touch. You do not have permission."

I have tried restarting the device, holding the home button etc.

Nothing is working.

Please help!

Thank you!

I was sold an iPod with the passwords and can't reset.

I was sold an ipod 4th gen and it have 5gb bought cloud data kn it already. i want to jailbreak my iPod but it says I have to turn off the backup password but I can do that unless I reset my iPod (or so I've heard) and I can't reset my iPod without the "restrictions pass code" or something. I don't even know what that means and I've tried every code I could think of so I assuming I just don't have it. Is there any way I can reset it without the passwords or anything? Also, my iTunes won't let me log in, and won't reset it thru the computer. Please help!

Also, i got it with 5gb of bought cloud data on it anf i dont have his cloud password either, can that be restored with a backup if I jailbreak it?

Ipod will not sync cannot reset to restore

I have an ipod 4th gen with 16gb.  Resently, I can not sync or wifi or with it plugged in.  The option to reset says it must be plugged in but it never changes that even when plugged in.  It has the newest updates as of today and is backup to the cloud.  I just got it for Christmas and am very sad.   The error says unknown error (-50).  We have tried all we know.  It has not been exposed to water or dropped.  I am very careful.  Any help is appreciated.

Sad Zach
