My ipod 4 fell and turned off, when i connect it appears recovery mode.

as i said, my ipod 4 fell and turned off, when i connect to my computer, it appears in recovery mode, itunes detects it and i've tried to restore with no luck, i;ve tried to hold the buttons for 10, 20, 60 seconds with no help, im wondering what can i do to get my ipod work again, i dont really mind losing the data inside, i have my backups. please help, what could this be?
