iTunes is not recognizing my iPod so I cannot sync my music, but I can use home sharing and it will work... How do I make iTunes recognize my iPod touch?

I've had my iPod touch for over a year now, and I haven't used it or iTunes in a while. I updated iOS on my iPod and updated to the newest version of iTunes earlier. Now that I have put some new music in my music library (not from iTunes), iTunes will not recognize my iPod, but if I turn on Home Sharing, it will sync to my iPod... Which would be fine, but I have to have Wi-Fi all the time for that to work, and sometimes I don't have Wi-Fi when I leave my house. So how do I make iTune recognize my iPod?

My PC has stopped recognizing my ipod touch 4G and wants to connect it as a camera. Can I download the drivers somewhere?

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes.  I have followed the troubleshooting guide through apple.  Nothing is changing though!  Please help if you have experienced this and solved the problem before.  I want to be able to load the rest of my music!

I want to restore my iPod and put new music on it but my computer isn't recognizing my iPod?

My old computer broke and it had the itunes my ipod was synced to, and now I have another comp with new music and I want to switch the music out but my computer (Windows 7 64-bit) isn't reconizing it. It's charging but even in the "devices" it isn't showing up.

How do I make it show up? Nothing else in the devices tab is showing up (it's not being registered as a camera etc..)

So how do I sync my ipod if I can't even see it?

iPod Touch 5 iTunes not recognizing in Win 8

Hello!   I upgraded to Windows 8 over a week ago and now I cannot connect my device to iTunes.

My computer dings and sees my iPod Touch 5 however iTunes doesn't show a device listed.

 

Have restarted iTunes multiple times, have disconnected/reconnected iPod multiple times, have restarted computer multiple times. I have tried all USB ports.  I have rebooted my iPod Touch 5.   Nothing seems to work.  iTunes doesn't see a device.  Never had this problem with Win 7.

 

Does anyone have a solution or idea that could help me?   Thanks!
