Is there any way to get an older app version of apple tv remote?

It's been several months since the apple tv remote app was updated to 3.0+.

Once I updated, I have not been able to control my apple tv (2nd gen).

I have 2 ipod touch (2nd gen as well) and neither can use the updated app to control our apple tv any more.

We've had to resort to using the aluminum remote (which we constantly are losing)

Long story short. Is there any way to get an older version of the app (say 2.4)? I've looked everywhere but everyone links back to itunes (and that only has the latest version). We're also stuck on iOS 4.2 because of hardware. There are a couple of sites out there but it seems that they are not legit as they ask for credit card info.

Any help is appreciated.

What to do with an older ipod touch?

At one point, I upgraded to an iPad 2. That said, my old ipod touch seems to be going to waste, dispite the hardware being in good shape. I thought i would keep it around for music and podcasts. Its been reset, and because it only has ios 4.2.1, and can't upgrade to 5, it no longer has the ability to download the podcast app which requires version 5. Is there a way around this? Can i get an older version of the app?

Little help?

how to get iMessage on an older iOS version?

my friend is running iOS 4.3 and she wants to use iMessage, not any other third party app like iMessage, and without having to update because she doesn't have enough free space for the latest update. I have read in places that you can use iMessage on iOS 4 and later. She has FaceTime and says she any find the iMessage icon, so how does she get it, if it's possible? Thanks
