My iPod touch 4gen keeps crashing and lagging?? Help??
I have recently updated my iPod touch 4th generation to the new iOS 6.1.2, which I now seriouslyregret doing after reading a lot of the bad reviews on it for iPod 4g users. Whenever I open an app, after about a minute or a few seconds it crashes, especially Facebook and Tumblr, Safari and Google. My iPod is incredibly slow, especially when trying to type. My power button/lock button is broken, and I am currently using the Assistive Touch. I don't think there is a way of turning it off now without leaving my iPod useless. I've had my iPod for about two years now, and up until now I've had no crashing/lagging problems. Even the App Store, iTunes, Photos, and General crashes, and I am becoming very ****** off. I don't have the money to get it fixed and I don't know how to restore it, nor Jailbreak it, even though I don't think you're supposed to. I don't want my iPod to become useless because I use it all the time and I don't have the money to replace it. If anyone can help, please do! I seriously don't want to have to just throw it away :/ Also, if I can downgrade it to iOS 5.1.1, will that help matters any? Thanks.

i tunes keeps saying password locked unable to open
Try and force iPod into Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

iTunes keeps losing my library every 2-3 days!
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.

Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to a recent state. Look for a recent .tmp file that is similar in size to the .itl files in the Previous iTunes Libraries folder. If it has happened repeatedly you may want the earliest such file generated since the last iTunes upgrade.
If applicable, see iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
I've noticed more of these missing library posts of late and a common factor to most since I started asking is AVG Anti-Virus. It seems in some cases it might be at least part of the reason why the library file disappears. Try excluding the iTunes folder from any AV scanning process.

I have just updated my iPod 4th gen touch to the new 6.1.3 and it won't turn on and keeps white screening me?
I have just updated my iPod touch 4th gen and it keeps going on to the apple turning on screen for 5 minutes then it white screens for a couple of seconds then starts again
Keeps flickering!!!!
I dropped my iPod in water 4 days ago and I did have some problems with it. Ever since then I have been keeping it in rice and now I turned it on to test it and it turned on like normal and I unlocked it and looked at my settings, but when I plugged in the charger the screen turned black. I pressed the home button and the other button a bunch of times and it would comeback on but when I tried to unlock it the screen went black again and flickered! What's up with that? It didn't do that before!

ipod keeps turning off when not charged
Hello fellow iPod users. I want to ask you all a question. Why does my fist generation iPod touch keep turning off when it's not plugged into the wall. I tried to plug it in to my computer and it doesn't work. It only works when it's plugged into the wall. Is it a battery issue? If so, where can I find an apple store in New York or where can I get a new iPod touch battery. I would appreciate if you guys too kyour time to help me out . Thank you!
