    i have the same problemo. mine is dead and its been lost since yesterday. unfortunatly u cant track it if its dead but what i did is logged into icloud.com, clicked find iphone (works for ipods too), and located it. it was offline so its pending lost mode and to play the sound. if u keep tracking/watching u will know if someone has put it online or not, and u will also get a gps location of where it is. other than that, u will have to look for it the old fashioned way im afraid. but u probably have it better than me, i lost mine in the snow.
